Playlist Length Calculator ("we", "our", "us") operates https://www.playlistlengthcalc.com (the "Service").

1. What Data We Collect

Using the calculator requires no account and no personal data. You can paste a public YouTube or YouTube Music playlist link and get its total length without providing your name, email address, or signing in.

We collect personal information when you choose to save a calculation or learning plan to an account:

• Email and password: We store your email address to identify your account and a password hash. We never store your password in plain text.
• Google sign-in: If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, and profile picture. We request only the scope needed to identify your account. We do not access your YouTube watch history, private playlists, Google Drive, or other Google data.
• Saved data: We store the playlist calculations and learning plans you choose to save, including public playlist identifiers, titles, thumbnails, durations, and planning preferences.
• Contact messages: If you contact us, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit.
• Usage and device data: We may process basic analytics and technical data such as pages visited, browser type, approximate location, referrer, IP-derived security signals, and error events.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to operate and improve the Service:

• To create and manage your account when you save results
• To store saved calculations and learning plans and show them when you sign in
• To keep you signed in and protect the Service from abuse
• To respond when you contact us
• To understand performance and fix technical problems

We do not sell your personal data.

3. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or content that you publish or upload. Users do not publish content through this Service.

The only data we read from YouTube is public metadata, such as playlist titles, video titles, durations, thumbnails, channels, video counts, and availability signals. It is retrieved through the YouTube Data API and does not require access to your Google account.

4. Cookies and Storage

We use cookies and local storage for essential functions such as keeping you signed in, remembering language preferences, and protecting account sessions. We may also use analytics to understand aggregate usage and diagnose errors.

Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve, measure, and personalize ads. You can control advertising personalization through your browser and Google Ads settings.

5. Data Retention

Saved calculations and learning plans remain stored while your account is active, unless you remove them or delete your account. Public playlist calculation data may be cached temporarily to improve speed and reduce YouTube API usage. Contact messages may be retained as long as needed to respond and maintain support records.

6. Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your account and all associated saved data from Settings > Security > Delete Account. Deletion removes your account, login credentials, active sessions, saved calculations, and learning plans and cannot be undone.

If you cannot access your account, email support@playlistlengthcalc.com. If you signed in with Google, you can also revoke the connection from your Google Account settings at any time.

7. Third-Party Services

We use Google OAuth for sign-in, the YouTube Data API for public playlist metadata, Google AdSense for advertising, and hosting, analytics, email, and security providers needed to operate the Service. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect account and support data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so we limit collection to what is needed to provide the Service.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. The latest version and its effective date will always be posted on this page.
